The creation of a hot spring salon surrounded by sea and wind
One of the three historical hot springs (Shirahama, Arima, Dogo) in Japan, “Shirahama Hot Springs.”
Surrounded in sea breeze, take time soaking in the famous hot spring, and enjoy a time of healing.
This historic hot spring destination has a history of 1350 years, stretching back to the Asuka and Nara periods. The hot springs at Hotel Kawakyu come from Shirahama Hot Springs, a colorless spring full of benefits containing sodium, chloride, and hydrogen carbonate.
A new spa salon called
Hot Spring Salon Royal Spa was created on Saturday, July 16, 2016, in the 2nd floor public bath area.
A living room style spa surrounded with Decorations. Fully equipped with a lie-down bath, silk, sauna, and cold water bath. The heated bench and heated flooring helps you sweat it out stress-free, as you gaze at the flames of the hearth with a drink in one hand.
The micro bubbles provide soft and pleasant stimulation to the entire body for total relaxation, promoting skin metabolism and creating a silky texture for the skin after the bath.
It is indeed a hot spring for beautiful skin. Enjoy extraordinary, gentle healing.
This bathing style lets you lie down, with the back of the head as a fulcrum and the buoyancy of the water supporting the body. Lie-down baths do not put much water pressure on the body, meaning there is little stress on muscles and joints, and that blood circulates through the entire body all the way to the extremities. This lets you enjoy the bath for quite a long time, relaxing as you bathe.
Completely private shower booths. The Rain Shower from the ceiling lets you feel as though you are surrounding by rain.
Cool down after heating up with ice cream or special drinks from Shirahama (Wakayama). Unwind both the body and mind in an open salon with an integrated terrace.
The Forest of Eternity open-air bath features leisurely construction with a blend of Japanese and Western taste.
Soak in the waters that spring forth from the grounds of Shirahama in this revitalizing, relaxing open-air bath.
The indoor bath features a koyamaki (Japanese umbrella pine), a spirit tree of Mount Koya. The religious painting by Reizo Aoyama and Chinese poetry excepted from Tao Yuanming’s “Reciting the Scriptures of Mountains and Seas” express a wish for longevity, and the soft, indirect lighting on the walls light up to recreate a fantasy space.

Fix your makeup in elegance at our luxurious booth-style powder area. The heated floors in the dressing room and powder area help you retain heat even after leaving the bath.
